Peter Oh joined the Office of the Federal Public Defender after years of private practice and public service. Oh began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable C. Lynwood Smith, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. Mr. Oh later joined the Public Defender’s Office in Arlington County, Virginia, representing indigent clients in criminal matters against the government.
With regard to his years in private practice, Oh specialized in insurance coverage litigation involving liability policies issued to corporations and financial institutions throughout the country. Oh returned to public service in 2014, joining the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Memphis, Tennessee. Oh is a graduate of Yale University and the University Of Virginia School Of Law.
